CES Leaving Las Vegas
As reported on TechCocktail and the Las Vegas NBC Affiliate, The Consumer Electronics Show may be leaving Las Vegas. With hotel rates through the roof (5x normal LV prices) and other inconveniences, attendees of the 31st annual show are finally fed up.
TechCocktail founders Frank Gruber and Eric Olsen are starting a movement to bring CES to Chicago. We do have plenty of space, and if we could host the olympics, why not CES? Chicago might not have the most technology companies, but we certainly have a strong showing with Motorola, CDW, and an abundance of Web 2.0 and Tech startups. To become part of the movement, join the Bring CES to Chicago Facebook Group.
