New Business Development
- Market analysis, feasibility studies, market research, competitive intelligence, and strategy development for new business initiatives.
- Have played key roles on multimillion dollar projects in corporate environments.
- Recently participated in a ten day international business and marketing seminar in Japan meeting with executives of top companies and government officials.

Environmental Stewardship
- Actively engaged in the development of environmental stewardship programs, including energy and water conservation, renewable energy, ecosystem and public health, carbon management and life cycle analysis.
- Voting member for the IEEE 1680 Environmentally Preferable EPEAT standard, member of the working groups for IEEE 1680.1 (EPP for Computers and Monitors) and 1680.2 (EPP for Imaging Equipment), participant in the study group for IEEE 1680.3 (EPP for Televisions), committee member for ASTM E06 (Performance on Buildings), ASTM E06.71 (Sustainability),  and involved in the development of other international standards for environmentally preferable products.

Engineering Research
- 2yr NASA research projects to create a nonmechanical electromagnetic compressor and electrostatic ion drive.  Performed the project in zero-gravity aboard NASA’s KC-135A.

Engineering Design
- Hardware Design Engineer designing and testing products for telecom OEM’s.  Basically computers that go in cell phone towers to transfer massive amounts of data across networks.

Safety Certification
- Project Engineer for Hazardous Locations consulting with clients on how to develop products for global markets.

Auditing
- Technical Expert for hazardous locations quality audits to the European ATEX directive and the International IECEx Scheme.
- Qualified ISO 9000 Lead Auditor

Process Improvement
- Experience working on many process improvement projects, including lean/six sigma and kaizen projects.  Projects have included global multiple services and integrated customer fulfillment teams.

Entrepreneurship
- Started and ran a very successful regional promotions company.
- Founder of three new businesses
- Currently a part owner in a small business and in a new startup in concept
- Written 6 complete business plans and entered business plan competitions.  Frequently provide assistance and consulting on business plan development.  I read about 3-5 different business plans a month.
